The Dogmatics of Indiana were a Central Indiana supergroup that had a short life, but burned bright. (We performed as simply The Dogmatics. We were unaware of the existence of a much-beloved Boston band from the ’80s that had the same name. We added the qualifier for posterity.) Its players were Steve Michael on electric guitar, Veronica Pejril on keyboards, Bill Hamm on bass, Rick Provine on drums, Heather Sloan on percussion, sultry diva Julianna Goldsmith doing the vocals, and myself on acoustic guitar and writing the songs. We made just one CD, but it’s a good one.
